Grill on The Hill and Hole in the Wall eatery recommendations

It is Christmas season and everyone is shopping and Trini Limers Crew headed to what the  girls referred to as their favourite "Hole in the wall" restaurants in Trinidad and Tobago, Grill on The Hill in Marabella is one such place, That is in the northern part of the City of San Fernando on the Southern Main Road just before the Marabella Police Station.

We were warmly greeted by a kind Indo-Trinidadian man in a well - dressed in traditional Muslim wear suit and quickly seated and greeted by a well groomed polite and well spoken Afro -Trinidadian youthful waiter who laid out the cutlery for us all, Mind you Trinidad and Tobago as little islands as it is to the Metropole larger nations can still boast a diversity and interracial harmony found no where else in the world. Grill on the Hill restaurant offers a  diverse mix menu and you will find your favourites here with the exception of a curry

The idle banter before our long wait, but worth it for the meals, lead us to the History of fast food in Trinidad and Tobago and local favourites and long forgotten brands like Chefette and Chuck Wagon which by the way the burgers very closely tasted like, with a light smokey flavour and aroma.

We ordered Burgers and fries garnished with a pearl toothpick and with a variety of Swee drinks (Sodas).

Perfect to host a birthday or office party

The décor of Grill on the Hill Restaurant has a Middle Eastern Elegance which we all admired, the Hijabi dressed waitress was very kind and went out of her way to to diffuse a Hangry Female Trini Limer and ensure our meals arrived in a timely manner which we appreciated as the restaurant was filled to capacity with families by the time the Limers were ready to depart and appreciated how courteous the staff was and how budget friendly the menu was.
We continue our saga of The "Hole in the Wall" type eatery that are loved by the locals.
