Tea La La and Milk Tea Trini Limers Crew ,                                 In this Paradise , braved the Sahara dust storm that is blowing over Trinidad and Tobago at this very moment to bring you the latest in local eats and drinks at  Tea La La  Milk and Tea Bakery/ Chai Tea Wallah/ Bubble Tea Cafe at Gulf City Mall on the Left side (Not De Zess Side or Zef Side ) as you enter from the main entrance, stairs or elevator where the old Kiss cake shop and Vegan Juice bar used to be right before Linda's Bakery with disabled access from the elevator on the ground floor. We were served by very kind Angels  like staff ( United Colors of Benetton ) like, who positively attended to all of our needs in the most courteous way, full points to all the ladies and we ordered two Boba Tea drinks plain and zaboca with a strawberry mochi pack as we arrived late in the evening and most locals in Gulf View and South Trinidad already bought out the shelves empty of all it's baked goods.

Arts Cafe

Arts Cafe The day started out to be a very ' Art ' themed day,  Trini Limers Crew, all had our teeths cleaned at  Smile Art Dental Clinic  and after a speedy cleaning, proceeded to go for lunch. On the hottest day recorded on the weather charts in Trinidad and Tobago,  Trini Limers Crew battled the heat from the intense sunlight on Wednesday 4th October 2023 to visit The new and elegant Arts Cafe on Rahaman Drive to the very front of Maska Compound  in Gulf View, L.R. Trinidad, (The Previous Arts Cafe was a quaint building previously located at the always festive for food!  Twin Walls SMR, La Romaine, San Fernando).  There was ample parking and we quickly ran through the blazing hot sun to be greeted by a very kind receptionist in the Art Cafe's very awe inspiring modern luxurious decor and lots of Artwork on the walls from Famous Artists and the New fledgling budding artists that artwork adorned the Art Cafe's walls. (Look out! San Fernando Art Council and Art Soci
De One Chinese cuisine at it's Best. The Covid-19 Pandemic Health Restrictions has been fully lifted and fewer persons aside from those with serious comorbidities are still wearing medical masks in The Republic of Trinidad and Tobago and despite the spike in killings and what could be considered a civil war in other countries, with murders and home invasions occurring daily, Trini Limers Crew has dodged the bullets to resumed our mission to Review some of the new offerings of  Food stalls,Eateries and Restaurants and local made Coffees . The T&T Economy seem to be recovering and while hunting for a park in ever crowded Gulf City Mall, a tanty and her mother in a Military Green Colour Toyota Aqua EV offered No.1 parking as we ironically pulled in to dine at  De One Chinese Restaurant, you can't make up this one folks! Anyhow as we walked down the newly cast stairs and took the elevator to the first floor of Gulf City Mall and turned right and was greeted by a Statue of a S

Hard Bargain Coffee and Narine's on 'D' Cross Doubles

It's a bright and sunny Wednesday in the height of the Covid-19 Pandemic with the Delta variant descending upon The Republic of Trinidad and Tobago and the world and we are going straight into the time of Ancestor worship and a 16 day fast starting today 22nd September 2021, businesses usually see a slump in sales around this period except for when you want doubles and coffee that's why whilst exploring Gulf City Mall   and  the Herbs and Health Shop TLC came across the totally locally grown and ground coffee called Hard Bargain Coffee  from HardBargain a suburb of Williamsville and home to the descendants of the Merikins, Indian descendants from Bharat, Irish and also the Chinese  where before the internet or cable or dish networks  arrived or telephone or cellphones the only means of communication was the Williamsville Post Office and every one would write their address eg. C/o Williamsville Post office. Trinidad,W.I or get news on FM & AM Radio and international news on

Bao! Pow! Fried Chicken?

Bao / Pow is not a Batman series. It's a bright and sunny Saturday and Trini Limers Crew has taken note of the Covid-19 Lock Down for 3 weeks from the beautiful Dr. Maryam Abdool - Richards on TV and the restriction on 5 persons per gathering and no restaurant dining and even fearing to eat out and drink.  While shopping at our local Asian Grocery we have come across a local made Pow (Roast Pork filled steamed bread bun) by the name of  Bao Caribbean Cooking time was 20 minutes in the steaming pot  and the final result was a fluffy steamed bun with hot lightly seasoned roasted pork on the inside  it was really enjoyed. It has come to our attention that Chief brand Products has launched a new line of mixed spices packs. One spice mix particularly the 11 herbs and spices seasoning  for Fried Chicken made similar to the Colonel's  was sold out in a matter of hours we will keep you posted.
It is a very over cast saturday and with the all clear from the Prime Minster and Chief Medical Officer that it is alright to return to the beaches in this Covid-19 Pandemic  Trini Limers Crew has put on their Runic beach shoes packed the beach gear and journeyed to Mayaro Beach. We drove North of the Mayaro Junction on the long and peaceful and postcard like coconut tree laden rough hewn asphalt Manzanilla Mayaro road to Ortoire, the tiny village with colourful parlours and houses to find "Dutty's",(next door to the un opened Clean and Brand Spanking New, painted Pink,              Ducky's Ortoire Organic Roast Seafood Limited building).  We were told we had to wait 1 hour for the order and the couple before us had gotten their order which looked alright with a blushing red lobster and yellow corn on the cob smothered in butter at 1:30 pm after a long wait on the makeshift benches. The Trini Limers Crew got anxious at all of the flies swarming around the banana le

Hard Rock Cafe opens doors in Gulf City Mall - Trinidad

It's a rainy Thursday evening in the height of the Christmas season after a long hard day of working in Port of Spain, Trini Limers Crew, a group of loosely banded Food and Drink Connoisseurs  headed to the nation's Industrial Capital of San Fernando, more specifically To the new Hard Rock Cafe in Gulf City Mall . Hard Rock Cafe entrance is located near the North East Entrance to Gulf City Mall, close to the Gulf View Link road and can be accessed by the Sir Solomon Hochoy Highway via the Golconda Interchange and Connector road and then down from the Cross Crossing Interchange on to the South Trunk road and then turn right into Gulf City Avenue. The car park was filled to capacity and as we entered Hard Rock Cafe to Starship 's "We built this city on rock and roll" we were greeted by a group of ever helpful and happy waitresses who could be starlets themselves in a musical group.  We were seated and immediately our waitress was ready to take our order
