School Books being stolen: So a padna of mine say that Trinbago parents don't need the book grant despite single women parents stealing books from Charran's and reselling and that the School book money is being spent on Nail polish and painting nails and  $3000.00 dollar All-inclusive-fetes and school books for the children is only $2000.00

Anyhoo,

So on a busy Friday the 26th of  July 2024, pay day, exactly 34 years after Muslim militants stormed the Red house in P.O.S we dodged bullets to bring you a mid-career review of 519 during a Happy hour.

Firstly our Hostesses of various backgrounds were very courteous and made me proud to be a Trinbagonian in how professional their hospitality was at 519 Social hub

We were provided with Menus as we enjoyed the modern ambiance of  the 519 Social hub at the Courtyard of C3 Mall, S.F.D.O.

Happy hour tested our forever young

Liming state of mind, flash backs of my teachers asking why does this place sound like a fish market.

We ordered two Chef's Pepper Platter with a range of meats and seafood with pepper fries (They do specials) and a Lemonade and Hawaiian Volcano cocktails.

Our server Danielle was so very courteous 10/10, we became impatient but the wait was worth the while as the food was amazing and this is a local restaurant and bar.

We put on our Wine and Cheese tasting professional hats after seeing the bar.

The food was so amazing we forgot to snap a picture!

Hard Bargain Coffee and Narine's on 'D' Cross Doubles

It's a bright and sunny Wednesday in the height of the Covid-19 Pandemic with the Delta variant descending upon The Republic of Trinidad and Tobago and the world and we are going straight into the time of Ancestor worship and a 16 day fast starting today 22nd September 2021, businesses usually see a slump in sales around this period except for when you want doubles and coffee that's why whilst exploring Gulf City Mall   and  the Herbs and Health Shop TLC came across the totally locally grown and ground coffee called Hard Bargain Coffee  from HardBargain a suburb of Williamsville and home to the descendants of the Merikins, Indian descendants from Bharat, Irish and also the Chinese  where before the internet or cable or dish networks  arrived or telephone or cellphones the only means of communication was the Williamsville Post Office and every one would write their address eg. C/o Williamsville Post office. Trinidad,W.I or get news on FM & AM Radio and international news on

Hard Rock Cafe opens doors in Gulf City Mall - Trinidad

It's a rainy Thursday evening in the height of the Christmas season after a long hard day of working in Port of Spain, Trini Limers Crew, a group of loosely banded Food and Drink Connoisseurs  headed to the nation's Industrial Capital of San Fernando, more specifically To the new Hard Rock Cafe in Gulf City Mall . Hard Rock Cafe entrance is located near the North East Entrance to Gulf City Mall, close to the Gulf View Link road and can be accessed by the Sir Solomon Hochoy Highway via the Golconda Interchange and Connector road and then down from the Cross Crossing Interchange on to the South Trunk road and then turn right into Gulf City Avenue. The car park was filled to capacity and as we entered Hard Rock Cafe to Starship 's "We built this city on rock and roll" we were greeted by a group of ever helpful and happy waitresses who could be starlets themselves in a musical group.  We were seated and immediately our waitress was ready to take our order
Tea La La and Milk Tea Trini Limers Crew ,                                 In this Paradise , braved the Sahara dust storm that is blowing over Trinidad and Tobago at this very moment to bring you the latest in local eats and drinks at  Tea La La  Milk and Tea Bakery/ Chai Tea Wallah/ Bubble Tea Cafe at Gulf City Mall on the Left side (Not De Zess Side or Zef Side ) as you enter from the main entrance, stairs or elevator where the old Kiss cake shop and Vegan Juice bar used to be right before Linda's Bakery with disabled access from the elevator on the ground floor. We were served by very kind Angels  like staff ( United Colors of Benetton ) like, who positively attended to all of our needs in the most courteous way, full points to all the ladies and we ordered two Boba Tea drinks plain and zaboca with a strawberry mochi pack as we arrived late in the evening and most locals in Gulf View and South Trinidad already bought out the shelves empty of all it's baked goods.
